And Joash said to all who stood against him, "Will you plead for Baal? Will you save him? He who will plead for him, let him be put to death while [it is still] morning, if he [is] a god, let him plead for himself, ~*21:63 because [one] has cast down his altar."
Judges 6:32
Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, "Let Baal plead against him, because he has thrown down his altar."
Judges 6:33
Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.

Judges 6:37
Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; [and] if the dew is on the fleece only, and [it is] dry upon all the earth [beside], then will I know that You will save Israel by my hand, as You have said."
Judges 6:38
And it was so, for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.
Judges 6:39
And Gideon said to God, "Do not let Your anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once, please let me prove but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew."
Judges 6:40
And God did so that night, for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.
Judges 7:1
Then Jerubbaal, who [is] Gideon, and all the people who [were] with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod, so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley.
Judges 7:2
And the Lord said to Gideon, "The people who [are] with you [are] too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, unless Israel vaunts themselves against Me, saying, 'My own hand has saved me.'
Judges 7:3
Now therefore go, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, 'Whoever [is] fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from Mount Gilead.'" And twenty two thousand of the people returned; and ten thousand remained.
Judges 7:4
And the Lord said to Gideon, "The people [are] still [too] many; bring them down to the water, and I will try them for you there, and it will be, [that] of whom I say to you, 'This will go with you,' the same will go with you; and of whomever I say to you, 'This will not go with you,' the same will not go."
Judges 7:5
So he brought the people down to the water, and the Lord said to Gideon, "Everyone who laps of the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you will set him by himself; likewise everyone who bows down upon his knees to drink."
Judges 7:6
And the number of those who lapped, [putting] their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men, but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
Judges 7:7
And the Lord said to Gideon, "I will save you by the three hundred men who lapped, ~*2:249 and deliver the Midianites into your hand, and let all the [other] people go, every man to his place."
Judges 7:8
So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets, and he sent all [the rest of] Israel, every man to his tent, and retained those three hundred men, and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley.
Judges 7:9
And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said to him, "Arise, get down to the host; for I have delivered it into your hand.
Judges 7:10
But if you fear to go down, go with Phurah, your servant, down to the host.

And you will hear what they say; and afterward your hands will be strengthened to go down to the host." Then he went down with Phurah, his servant, to the outside of the armed men who [were] in the host.
Judges 7:12
And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels [were] without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.
Judges 7:13
And when Gideon had come, behold, [there was] a man who told a dream to his fellow, and said, "Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, look, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came to a tent, and struck it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along."
Judges 7:14
And his fellow answered and said, "This [is] nothing else except the sword of Gideon, the son of Joash, a man of Israel, [for] God has delivered Midian into his hand, and all the host."
Judges 7:15
And it was [so], when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he prostrated [to God], and returned into the host of Israel, and said, "Arise; for the Lord has delivered the host of Midian into your hand."
Judges 7:16
And he divided the three hundred men [into] three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.
Judges 7:17
And he said to them, "Look on me, and do likewise, and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it will be [that], as I do, so you will do.
Judges 7:18
When I blow with a trumpet, I and all who [are] with me, then blow the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, '[The sword] of the Lord, and of Gideon.'"
Judges 7:19
So Gideon, and the hundred men who [were] with him, came to the outside of the camp in the beginning of the middle watch; and they had but newly set the watch, and they blew the trumpets, and broke the pitchers that [were] in their hands.

And they stood, every man in his place around the camp, and all the host ran, and cried, and fled.
Judges 7:22

And the princes of Succoth said, "[Are] the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your army?"
Judges 8:7
And Gideon said, "Therefore, when the Lord has delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers."
Judges 8:8
And he went up from there to Penuel, and spoke likewise to them, and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered [him].
Judges 8:9
And he also spoke to the men of Penuel, saying, "When I come again in peace, I will break this tower down."
Judges 8:10

Now therefore, please beware, and do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat any unclean [thing].
Judges 13:5

Judges 13:6
Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, "A man of God came to me, and his countenance [was] like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible, but I did not ask him from where he [was], neither did he tell me his name.

Judges 13:17
And Manoah said to the angel of the Lord, "What [is] your name, that when your sayings come to pass we may do you honor?"

But if you cannot declare [it] me, then you will give me thirty sheets and thirty changes of garments." And they said to him, "Put forth your riddle, that we may hear it."
