Those Terrorists who Took a Mosque for Causing Harm and Disbelief and Division

They are the Corrupters, but they do Not Perceive, for the Devils Avert them from the Way of Guidance while they Think that they are Rightly Guided

9:107, Qur'an
[There are] those [terrorists] who took a mosque for themselves for causing harm and disbelief and division among the believers and as a station for whoever had warred against God and His messenger before. And they will surely swear, "We only intended the best."  And God testifies that indeed they are liars -

2:8 - 10, Qur'an
[For] among the people are some who say, "We believe in God and the Last Day," but they are not believers.
They [think to] deceive God and those who believe, but they do not deceive [anyone] except themselves and they do not perceive.  Disease is in their hearts, so God has increased their disease; and there is a painful punishment for them because they used to lie -

2:11 - 13, Qur'an
[For] when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are only reformers."
Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they do not perceive.  And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?"  Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they do not know.

2:14 - 15, Qur'an
And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe;" but when they are alone with their devils [from mankind or jinn], they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers."
[But] God mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly -

43:36 - 37, Qur'an
[For] whoever is blinded from remembrance of the Most Gracious - We appoint a devil for him, and he is a companion to him.
And indeed, the devils avert them from the way [of guidance] while they think that they are [rightly] guided.

2:16, Qur'an
Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided.

2:17 - 18, Qur'an
Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, God took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see.
Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].

47:14, Qur'an
So is he who is on clear evidence from his Lord like him whom the evil of his work has been made attractive and they follow their [own] desires?

9:108 - 109, Qur'an
[So] do not stand [for prayer] within [their mosque] - ever.  A mosque founded on the fear [of God] from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves; and God loves those who purify themselves.
Then is one who laid the foundation of his building on the fear of God and [seeking] His approval better or one who laid the foundation of his building on the edge of a bank about to collapse, so it collapsed with him into the fire of Hell?  And God does not guide the wrongdoing people.

6:55, Qur'an
And thus, We detail the verses, and [so] the way of the criminals will become evident.

[Makkah] was Like the Custom of the People of Pharaoh and those Before them, God Seized Sodom and Gomorrah and the People of Noah, for All were Wrongdoers

So How Many Cities were Stronger than your City [of Makkah] which Drove you Out, [O Muhammad]? God Destroyed them through War

3:11, Qur'an
[The people of Muhammad are] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so God seized them for their sins.  And God is severe in penalty -

2 Peter 2:5 - 6, Gospel
[For God] did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, the eighth [generation], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example to those after that should live ungodly -

Luke 17:29, Gospel
[Whereby] the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all.

22:45, Qur'an
[So] how many cities did We destroy while they were committing wrong - so they are [now] fallen into ruin - and [how many] abandoned wells and [how many] lofty palaces?

Jude 1:5, Gospel
I will therefore put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

25:37 - 39, Qur'an
[And] the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them a sign for mankind. And We have prepared a painful punishment for the wrongdoers.
And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them. And We set forth examples [as warnings] for each, and We destroyed each with [total] destruction.

Jude 1:7, Gospel
Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal Fire.

[2 Ezra 2:8 - 9], Torah
"[So] remember what I did to Sodom and Gomorrah; O you wicked people,
whose land lies in clods of pitch and heaps of ashes; even so will I also do to those who do not hear Me," the Almighty Lord says.

33:61 - 62, Qur'an
[And thus, the disbelievers of Makkah will also be] accursed wherever they are found, being seized and massacred completely.
[For this is the established] way of God with those who passed on before; and you will not find any change in the way of God.

47:4, Qur'an
[And thus, O Muhammad] when you meet those [of Makkah] who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have subdued them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if God had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered war] to test some of you by means of others.

8:17, Qur'an
And you did not kill them, but it was God who killed them. And you did not throw when you threw, but it was God who threw so that He might test the believers with a good test. Indeed, God is Hearing and Knowing.

47:13, Qur'an
[So] how many cities were stronger than your city [Makkah] which drove you out, [O Muhammad]? We destroyed them; and there was no helper for them.

8:54, Qur'an
[For theirs was] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. And all [of them] were wrongdoers.

Does it Not Guide them When they See How Many Cities God Destroyed, so they are Now Fallen into Ruin, and they Walk Among their Dwellings?

So Travel Through the Land and Observe How the End was for the Criminals, they were Not Availed at All by their gods When the Command of your Lord Came

47:10, Qur'an
[So] have they not traveled through the land and seen how the end was for those before them? God destroyed [everything] over them, and there is something comparable for the disbelievers.

27:69, Qur'an
[So] say, "Travel through the land and observe how the end was for the criminals" -

46:27, Qur'an
[For] We have already destroyed what surrounds you of cities, and We have diversified the signs so that perhaps they might return [from disbelief] -

29:38 - 39, Qur'an
[For We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception.
And [We destroyed] Korah and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already come to them with clear evidences, and they were arrogant in the land, but they were not out-runners [of Our punishment] -

44:25 - 27, Qur'an
[For] how many gardens and springs did they leave behind?
And [also] crops and noble sites [of pyramids] and comfort wherein they were amused?

20:128, Qur'an
Then, does it not guide them [when they see] how many generations We destroyed before them as they walk among their dwellings?  Indeed there are signs in that for those of intelligence -

15:76 - 77, Qur'an
[For] indeed, [Sodom is situated] on an established road.
Indeed there is a sign in that for the believers -

37:137 - 138, Qur'an
[For] indeed, you pass by them at dawn and at night.
Then will you not use reason?

15:78 - 79, Qur'an
And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers.
So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [ruins] are on a clear highway.

22:45 - 46, Qur'an
[So] how many cities did We destroy while they were committing wrong - so they are [now] fallen into ruin - and [how many] abandoned wells and [how many] lofty palaces?
So have they not traveled through the earth and have hearts by which to reason and ears by which to hear?  For indeed, it is not eyes that are blinded, but the hearts are blinded which are within the chests -

14:45, Qur'an
[For] you lived among the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, and it had become clear to you how We dealt with them.  And We set forth [many] examples for you.

30:42, Qur'an
[So] say, "Travel through the land and observe how the end was for those before. Most of them were associators [of others with God]."

11:101, Qur'an
And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than God when the command of your Lord came. And they did not increase them in [anything] other than ruin.

We did Not Destroy Any City Except that it had Warners as a Reminder, and Indeed, [Muhammad] is a Warner Like the Former Warners

For We had Certainly Sent Noah to his People, Saying, "I Fear the Punishment for you on a Painful Day"

28:59, Qur'an
Your Lord would have never destroyed the cities until He had sent a messenger to their mother [city] reciting Our verses to them.  And We would not destroy the cities except while their people were wrongdoers.

6:131, Qur'an
That is because your Lord would not destroy the cities for wrongdoing while their people were unaware.

26:208 - 209, Qur'an
And [so] We did not destroy any city except that it had warners
as a reminder and We have never been unjust -

11:25 - 26, Qur'an
[For] We had certainly sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Indeed, I am a clear warner to you,
that you do not serve [anything] except God.  Indeed, I fear the punishment for you on a painful day."

46:21, Qur'an
And remember the brother of 'Aad, when he warned his people in the [region of] al-Ahqaf - and warners had already passed on before him and after him - [saying], "Do not serve [anything] except God.  Indeed, I fear the punishment for you on a terrible day."

53:56, Qur'an
[And] this [prophet Muhammad] is a warner like the former warners -

73:15 - 16, Qur'an
[For] We have sent a messenger to you as a witness upon you just as We sent a messenger [Moses] to Pharaoh.
But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We seized him with a ruinous seizure.

46:9, Qur'an
[So] say [O Muhammad], "I am not something original among the messengers, nor do I know what will be done with me or with you.  I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am nothing but a clear warner" -

42:7, Qur'an
[Whereby] We have revealed an Arabic Qur'an to you [O Muhammad] so that you may warn the Mother of Cities and those around it,

35:24, Qur'an
[So] indeed, We have sent you with the truth as a warner and a bringer of good news.  And there was no nation except that a warner had passed within it -

Jeremiah 7:25, Torah
"[For] since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt to this day I have even sent all My servants the prophets to you, rising up early and sending [them] daily.

Jeremiah 44:5 - 6, Torah
But they did not listen, nor incline their ear to turn from their wickedness, to not burn incense to other gods.
Therefore My fury and My anger were poured forth, and were kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted [and] desolate, as at this day."

35:25 - 26, Qur'an
And [thus] if they deny you - then those before them have already denied.  Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and Scriptures and with the enlightening Book.
Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach -

38:12 - 14, Qur'an
[For] the people of Noah denied before them, and [the tribe of] 'Aad and Pharaoh, the owner of stakes,
and [the tribe of] Thamud and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket.  Those are the companies.  Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified.

34:45, Qur'an
[Thus] those before them denied, and they have not attained a tenth of what We had given them.  But [the former peoples] denied My messengers, so how [terrible] was My reproach.

10:102, Qur'an
So do they wait for [nothing] except like [what occurred in] the days of those who passed on before them?  Say, "Then wait; indeed, I am with you among those who wait."

The Established Way of God for those We had Sent Before you of Our Messengers, you will Not Find Any Alteration in Our Way:

1.  God sent a messenger from themselves to warn them of their destruction just as He destroyed the former peoples
2.  Those who disbelieved denied and ridiculed their messenger
3.  Every nation intended to seize, kill, or evict their messenger
4.  The messenger and those who believed were saved by God, and the criminals were destroyed
5. Then God brought forth a generation of others after them and sent His messengers in succession, until He made you successors in the land

1.  God Sent a Messenger from themselves to Warn them of their Destruction, just as God Destroyed the Former Peoples

16:36, Qur'an
We certainly raised a messenger in every nation, [saying], "Serve God and avoid false gods."  And among them were those whom God guided, and among them were those whom error was [deservedly] decreed upon.  So proceed through the earth and observe how the end was for the deniers -

53:50 - 54, Qur'an
[For] He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad
and Thamud - and He did not spare [them] -and the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. And He hurled down the overturned towns and covered them by that which He covered.

15:78 - 79, Qur'an
And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers.
So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway.

28:59, Qur'an
[But] your Lord would have never destroyed the cities until He had sent a messenger to their mother [city] reciting Our verses to them.  And We would not destroy the cities except while their people were wrongdoers -

39:56, Qur'an
Unless a soul should say, "Oh [how great is] my regret over what I neglected in regard to God and that I was among the mockers."

7:173 - 174, Qur'an
Or [unless] you should say, "It was only that our fathers associated [others] with God before, and we were only descendants after them.  Then would You destroy us for what the falsifiers have done?"
And thus, We [explain] the verses [in detail], and perhaps they will return.

23:32, Qur'an
And [so] We sent a messenger among them from themselves, [saying], "Serve God; you have no god other than Him; then will you not fear [Him]?

20:48, Qur'an
Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.

29:18, Qur'an
[But] if you [people] deny [the message] - nations before you have already denied. And there is no [duty] upon the messenger except clear notification."

14:4, Qur'an
[And thus,] We did not send any messenger except speaking in the language of his people to state clearly for them, and God sends whomever He wills astray [thereby] and guides whomever He wills.  And He is the Almighty, the Wise.

7:63, Qur'an
Then do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you, so that he may warn you and so that you may fear [God] so you might receive mercy?

6:48 - 49, Qur'an
[For] We do not send the messengers except as bringers of good news and warners. So whoever believes and reforms - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
But those who deny Our verses - the punishment will touch them for their defiant disobedience.

2.  Those who Disbelieved Ridiculed the Messenger

15:10 - 13, Qur'an
We had certainly sent [messengers] before you among the sects of the former [peoples].
[But] no messenger would come to them except that they ridiculed him.  Thus, We insert denial into the hearts of the criminals.  They will not believe in it, while the precedent of the former [peoples] has already occurred -

2 Chronicles 36:16, Torah
[For] they mocked the messengers of God, and despised His words, and misused His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till [there was] no remedy.

36:30, Qur'an
[So] how regretful for the servants. No messenger came to them except that they used to ridicule him -

36:15, Qur'an
[For] they said, "You are nothing but human beings like us, and the Most Gracious has not sent down a thing. You are only telling lies."

25:5, Qur'an
And they say, "[These are just] legends of the former [peoples] which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."

21:41, Qur'an
And [thus,] messengers were already ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

18:56, Qur'an
[For] We do not send the messengers except as warners and bringers of good news.  And those who disbelieve dispute by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate the truth thereby and have taken My verses, and that of which they are warned, in ridicule.

 3.  Every Nation Intended to Seize their Messenger

40:5, Qur'an
The people of Noah denied before them and the factions after them, and every nation intended [a plot] for their messenger to seize him, and they disputed by falsehood to refute the truth thereby.  So I seized them, and how was My penalty -

14:13, Qur'an
[For] those who disbelieved said to their messengers, "We will surely drive you out of our land, or you must return to our religion."  So their Lord inspired to them, "We will surely destroy the wrongdoers" -

35:43, Qur'an
[Due to their] arrogance in the land and plotting of evil; but the evil plot does not encompass [anyone] except its own people. Then do they await [nothing] except the way of the former [peoples]? But you will never find any change in the way of God, and you will never find any alteration in the way of God.

86:15 - 16, Qur'an
[So] indeed, they are [also] planning a plan,
but I am planning a plan. So allow time for the disbelievers.  Leave them awhile.

17:76 - 77, Qur'an
[For] indeed, they were about to scare you from the land to evict you therefrom.  And then when they do, they will not remain there after you, except for a little.
[That is Our established] way for those We had sent before you of Our messengers; and you will not find any alteration in Our way -

16:26, Qur'an
[For] those before them had already plotted, but God came at their building from the foundations, so the roof fell upon them from above them, and the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive.

4.  The Messenger and those who Believed were Saved by God, and the Wrongdoers were Destroyed

27:50 - 51, Qur'an
And [thus, the disbelievers] planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they did not perceive.
Then look at how the outcome of their plan was - that We destroyed them and their people, all.

Psalms 37:38 - 40, Torah
[For] the transgressors will be destroyed together, the end of the wicked will be cut off.
But the salvation of the righteous [is] of the Lord, [He is] their strength in the time of trouble.  And the Lord will help them, and deliver them, He will deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.

2 Peter 2:5 - 7, Gospel
And [thus, God] did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, the eighth [generation], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an example to those who after should live ungodly; and [God] delivered the just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked.

30:47, Qur'an
And [so] We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and support of the believers was truly upon Us.

18:55, Qur'an
And nothing has prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them and from asking forgiveness from their Lord except that the precedent of the former [peoples must] befall them or that the punishment should come [directly] before them.

5. Then God Brought Forth a Generation of Others After them and Sent His Messengers in Succession, until He Made you Successors in the Land

6:6, Qur'an
[So] have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [water from] the heaven upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth a generation of others after them.

23:44, Qur'an
Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time a messenger came to his nation, they denied him, so We made them follow one another [to destruction], and We made them narrations. So away with a people who do not believe.

25:38, Qur'an
And [so We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them.

Jeremiah 44:6, Torah
[And] My fury and My anger were poured forth and were kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted [and] desolate, as at this day.

21:11, Qur'an
[So] how many cities have We shattered which were unjust and produced another people after them?

10:14, Qur'an
Then We made you successors in the land after them so that We may observe how you will do.

11:120, Qur'an
[So] each story We relate to you from the news of the messengers is that by which We make your heart firm.  And the truth and instruction and a reminder for the believers have come to you in this.

12:3, Qur'an
[And] We relate the best of stories to you in what We have revealed to you of this Qur'an, although you were among the unaware before it.

We have Sent the Qur'an Progressively so that you might Recite it over a Prolonged Period

So I will Give them Time, Indeed My Plan is Firm - Muhammad is Nothing but a Clear Warner

17:106 - 108, Qur'an
[This is] a Qur'an which We have separated [by intervals] so that you might recite it to the people over a prolonged period.  And We have sent it down progressively.
Say, "Believe in it or do not believe.  Indeed, those who were given knowledge before it - when it is recited to them, they fall upon their faces in prostration, and they say, "Our Lord is Exalted!  Indeed, the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled" -

Isaiah 28:10, Torah
For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little.

25:32, Qur'an
[But] those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not sent down to him all at once?" Thus it is so that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have spaced it distinctly -

9:126 - 127, Qur'an
Do they not see that they are tried once or twice every year but then they do not repent nor do they remember?
And whenever a chapter is sent down, they look at each other, [saying], "Does anyone see you?" and then they turn away. God has turned their hearts away because they are a people who do not understand -

Isaiah 28:13, Torah
[For] the word of the Lord was to them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; so that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken and snared and taken.

68:44 - 45, Qur'an
So leave Me with whoever denies this [Qur'an].  We will progressively lead them [to punishment] from where they do not know.
And I will give them time.  Indeed, My plan is firm.

76:23, Qur'an
[For] indeed, it is We who have sent the Qur'an down to you progressively -

36:6 - 7, Qur'an
So that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.
The word has already come true upon most of them, so they do not believe.

7:184, Qur'an
Then do they not give thought?  There is no [devil of] jinn in your companion.  He is nothing but a clear warner.

Read the Qur'an in the order of revelation

They Say, "When will this Conquest Be?" For they Impatiently Urge you to Bring the Punishment, while Similar Punishments have Already Occurred Before

So Say, "The Prophets who have been Before me Prophesied Against many Countries," for We did Not Destroy Any City Before Except that there was a Known Decree for it

15:4, Qur'an
We did not destroy any city except that there was a known decree for it.

7:34, Qur'an
And there is a [specified] term for every nation. So when their time has come, they will not postpone it an hour, nor will they advance [it].

13:6, Qur'an
[But] they impatiently urge you to bring about evil before good, while similar punishments [to what they demand] have already occurred before them. And indeed, your Lord is full of forgiveness for the people despite their wrongdoing, and indeed, your Lord is severe in penalty.

37:174 - 176, Qur'an
So, turn away from them for a time [O Muhammad].
And see [what will befall] them, for soon they are going to see.  Then are they impatient for Our punishment?

32:28, Qur'an
[For] they say, "When will this conquest be, if you should be truthful?"

Jeremiah 28:8, Torah
[So say,] "The prophets who have been before me and before you of old, prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence."

71:1 - 4, Qur'an
[For] indeed, We sent Noah to his people, [saying], "Warn your people before a painful punishment comes to them."
He said, "O my people, indeed I am a clear warner to you, [saying], 'Serve God, fear Him and obey me. God will forgive your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, when the term [set by] God comes, it will not be delayed, if you only knew.'"

11:32, Qur'an
[But] they said, "O Noah, you have disputed us and been frequent in dispute of us.  So bring us what you threaten us, if you should be among the truthful."

27:45 - 46, Qur'an
And We had certainly sent their brother Salih to Thamud, [saying], "Serve God," and at once they were two groups conflicting.
He said, "O my people, why are you impatient for evil instead of good? Why do you not seek forgiveness from God so that you may receive mercy?"

7:77 - 78, Qur'an
[But] they hamstrung the she-camel and were insolent toward the command of their Lord and said, "O Salih, bring us what you promise us, if you should be among the messengers."
So the earthquake seized them, and they became [corpses] fallen prone within their homes.

29:28 - 29, Qur'an
And [likewise the people of] Lot, when he said to his people, "Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds.
Indeed, you approach men and cut off the road and commit [every] evil in your meetings."  And there was no answer among his people except that they said, "Bring us the punishment of God, if you should be among the truthful."

26:185 - 187, Qur'an
[And] they said [to Shu'ayb], "You are only among those affected by magic.
You are nothing but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.  So cause fragments of the heaven to fall upon us, if you should be among the truthful."

7:70, Qur'an
[And] they said [to Hud], "Have you come to us so that we should leave what our fathers have served and serve God alone?  Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be among the truthful."

46:24 - 25, Qur'an
[But] when they saw it as a cloud approaching their valleys, they said, "This is a cloud bringing us rain!"  Rather, it is that which you were impatient for, a wind, within it [is] a painful punishment,
destroying everything by command of its Lord. And they became so that nothing was seen [of them] except their dwellings. Thus, We recompense the criminal people.

18:59, Qur'an
And [thus,] those cities - We destroyed them when they wronged, and We made an appointed time for their destruction.

10:50 - 51, Qur'an
[So] say [O Muhammad], "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?"
Then is it that when it has [actually] occurred you will believe in it? Now? And you were [once] impatient for it -

29:53, Qur'an
[For] they urge you, [O Muhammad], to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have [already] reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they do not perceive.

Wait Until God Executes His Command, for the Command of God is Coming

And When Our Command Comes, the Falsifiers will Lose All; but We Saved those who Believed

40:78, Qur'an
We have already sent messengers before you.  Among them are those We have related to you, and among them are those We have not related to you.  And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of God.  So when the command of God comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all] -

11:82, Qur'an
[For] when Our command came [to Sodom], We made the highest part [of the city] its lowest and rained stones of layered hard clay upon them,

7:83, Qur'an
[But] We saved [Lot] and his family, except for his wife; she was among those who remained [with the evildoers].

11:40, Qur'an
[And] when Our command came [to the people of Noah] and the oven overflowed, We said [to Noah], "Load two of every pair upon the ark and your family, except those whom the word has preceded against, and [include] whoever has believed." But none had believed with him, except a few.

11:43, Qur'an
[Even his own son did not believe, and] he said, "I will take refuge on a mountain to protect me from the water." [Noah] said, "There is no protector today from the command of God, except for whomever He gives mercy." And the waves came between them, and he was among the drowned.

11:44, Qur'an
And it was said, "O earth, swallow your water, and O heaven, withhold [your water]." And the water subsided, and the command was fulfilled, and the ark came to rest on the [mountain of] Judiyy. And it was said, "Away with the wrongdoing people."

11:58 - 59, Qur'an
And when Our command came [to 'Aad], We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us; and We saved them from a harsh punishment.
[But We destroyed] 'Aad, who rejected the signs of their Lord and disobeyed His messengers and followed the order of every obstinate tyrant.

11:66 - 67, Qur'an
[And] when Our command came [to Thamud], We saved Salih and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us, and [saved them] from the disgrace of that day.  Indeed, it is your Lord who is the Powerful, the Almighty.
[But] the shriek seized those who had wronged, and they became [corpses] fallen prone.

11:94 - 95, Qur'an
And when Our command came [to Midian], We saved Shu'ayb and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us.  [But] the shriek seized those who had wronged, and they became [corpses] fallen prone
within their homes as if they had never prospered therein.  Then, away with Midian as Thamud was taken away.

11:100 - 102, Qur'an
- That is from the news of the cities, which We relate to you; some are [still] standing among them, and some are [as] a harvest [mowed down].
And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves.  And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than God when the command of your Lord came.  And they did not increase them in [anything] other than ruin.  And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe.

10:24, Qur'an
[So] the example of [this] worldly life is like water which We have sent down from the heaven that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, Our command comes to it by night or by day, and We make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday.  Thus, We explain the verses in detail for a people who give thought.

16:1, Qur'an
[So likewise,] the command of God is coming, so do not seek to hasten it. He is exalted and high above what they associate [with Him].

Read the Qur'an in the revealed order, the command of God came in Surah 87

They were About to Drive you from the Land to Evict you, for that is Our Established Way for those We had Sent Before you of Our Messengers

For Every Nation Intended to Seize their Messenger, so I Seized them, and How was My Penalty

14:13, Qur'an
Those who disbelieved said to their messengers, "We will surely drive you out of our land, or you must return to our religion."  So their Lord inspired to them, "We will surely destroy the wrongdoers."

29:24, Qur'an
[For] there was no answer from [Abraham's] people except that they said, "Kill him or burn him," but God saved him from the fire.  Indeed there are signs in that for a people who believe.

26:116, Qur'an
[And] they said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be among those who are stoned."

40:26, Qur'an
And Pharaoh said, "Let me kill Moses and let him call upon his Lord.  Indeed, I fear that he will change your religion or that he will cause corruption in the land."

27:48 - 49, Qur'an
And there were nine family heads in the city causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs].
They said, "Take a mutual oath by God that we will kill [Salih] by night, him and his family.  Then we will say to his protector, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful.'"

27:56, Qur'an
[And] there was no answer from [Lot's] people except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city.  Indeed, they are men who keep themselves pure."

Luke 23:21, Gospel
[And] they cried, saying, "Crucify [Jesus], crucify him."

Matthew 27:23, Gospel
[But] the governor said, "Why, what evil has he done?"  But they cried out the more, saying, "Let him be crucified."

7:88, Qur'an
[And] the eminent ones who were arrogant among [Shu'ayb's] people said, "We will surely evict you, O Shu'ayb, and those who have believed with you from our city, or you must return to our religion."  He said, "Even if we were unwilling?"

17:76 - 77, Qur'an
[So] indeed, they were about to [likewise] scare you [O Muhammad] from the land to evict you therefrom.  And then when they do, they will not remain there after you, except for a little.
[That is Our established] way for those We had sent before you of Our messengers; and you will not find any alteration in Our way -

40:5, Qur'an
[For] the people of Noah denied before them and the factions after them, and every nation intended [a plot] to seize their messenger, and they disputed by falsehood to [attempt to] refute the truth thereby.  So I seized them, and how was My penalty.

The Penalty for those who Wage War Against God and His Messenger is None but that they be Killed or Exiled from the Land

For the Eternal God is your Refuge, He will Thrust out your Enemies who Persecuted you, and will Say, "Destroy them"

8:30, Qur'an
[So remember] when those who disbelieved plotted against you [O Muhammad] to restrain you or kill you or evict you.  But they plan, and God plans.  And God is the best of planners -

Deuteronomy 28:7, Torah
[For] the Lord will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be struck before your face, they will come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways.

Deuteronomy 30:7, Torah
And the Lord your God will put all these curses upon your enemies, and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.

Deuteronomy 9:3, Torah
[So] understand therefore this day, that the Lord your God [is] He who goes over before you; [as] a consuming fire He will destroy them, and He will bring them down before your face, so you will drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the Lord has said to you.

8:19, Qur'an
[And thus] if you [disbelievers] seek the victory - the defeat has come to you. And if you desist [from hostilities], it is best for you; but if you return [to war], We will return, and you will never be availed by your [large] company at all, even if it should increase; and [that is] because God is with the believers -

Deuteronomy 33:27, Torah
[For] the eternal God [is your] refuge, and underneath [are] the everlasting arms, and He will thrust out the enemy from before you; and will say, 'Destroy [them].'

2:190 - 191, Qur'an
[So] fight in the way of God those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed, God does not love the transgressors.
And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and oppression is worse than killing.  And do not fight them at the Forbidden [House] until they fight you there.  But if they fight you, then kill them.  Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.

9:13 - 14, Qur'an
[Or] would you not fight a people who broke their oaths and determined to expel the messenger, and they had begun [the attack upon] you the first time?  Do you fear them?  But God has more right that you should fear Him, if you are [truly] believers.
[So] fight them; God will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and help you against them and heal the hearts of a believing people.

8:13, Qur'an
That is because they opposed God and His messenger.  And whoever opposes God and His messenger - indeed, God is severe in penalty -

5:33 - 34, Qur'an
[For] indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against God and His messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land.  That is a disgrace for them in this world; and there is a great punishment for them in the Hereafter,
except for those who return [repenting] before you apprehend them. And know that God is Forgiving and Merciful.

Remember When Armies Came to Attack you, and God Sent Down Armies of Angels you Did Not See and Punished those who Disbelieved

For God Spoke by His Holy Prophets, that we should be Saved from our Enemies, for Indeed, God Defends those who have Believed

Luke 1:70 - 71, Gospel
[God] spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets, who have been since the world began,
that we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us;

Luke 1:72 - 75, Gospel
To perform the mercy [promised] to our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant;
the oath which He swore to our father Abraham, that He would grant to us, that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear [of our enemies], in holiness and righteousness before Him, all the days of our life.

22:38 - 40, Qur'an
[So] indeed, God defends those who have believed. Indeed, God does not love anyone treacherous and ungrateful.
Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, God is Powerful to give them help. [They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without truth - only because they say, "Our Lord is God." And were it not that God checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of God is much remembered [or mentioned]. And God will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, God is Powerful and Almighty.

Psalms 44:26, Torah
[So] arise for our help [O Lord], and redeem us for Your mercies' sake.

Psalms 35:1 - 3, Torah
Plead [my cause], O Lord, with those who strive with me, fight against those who fight against me.
Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. Draw out the spear also, and stop [the way] against those who persecute me, say to my soul, "I [am] your salvation."

8:9 - 10, Qur'an
[So] remember when you asked help of your Lord, and He answered you, "Indeed, I will reinforce you with a thousand from the angels, following one another."
And God did not make it [occur] except as good news and so that your hearts would be assured thereby. And help is not from [anyone] but God. Indeed, God is Almighty and Wise.

3:123 - 125, Qur'an
And God had already helped you at [the battle of] Badr while you were humiliated.  Then fear God; perhaps you will be grateful.
[Remember] when you said to the believers, "Is it not sufficient for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down?  Yes, if you are patient and fear [God] and [the enemy] suddenly comes upon you, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels having marks [of distinction].

33:9, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, remember the favor of God upon you when armies came to attack you and We sent a wind upon them and armies [of angels] you did not see -

8:48, Qur'an
When Satan made their deeds pleasing to them and said, "No one can overcome you today from among the people, and indeed, I am your protector."  But when the two armies sighted each other, he turned on his heels and said, "Indeed, I am disassociated from you.  Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed I fear God. And God is severe in penalty" -

9:26, Qur'an
[For] God sent down His tranquility upon His messenger and upon the believers and sent down armies [of angels] whom you did not see and punished those who disbelieved.  And that is the recompense of the disbelievers.

Psalms 35:5 - 9, Torah
[So] let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the angel of the Lord chase [them].
Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of the Lord persecute them.  For they have hidden their net [in] a pit for me without cause, [which] they have dug for my soul without cause.  Let destruction come upon him unawaringly; and let his net which he has hidden catch himself, let him fall into that very destruction.  And my soul will be joyful in the Lord, it will rejoice in His salvation.

Do Not be Afraid of this Great Multitude; for David Said to Goliath, "The Battle is the Lord's," He Goes with you, to Fight for you Against your Enemies

And Thus, you will be Called to Face a People of Great Military Might, but if there are a Hundred Among you, they will Overcome a Thousand of those who have Disbelieved

37:171 - 173, Qur'an
Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers,
[that] indeed, they would be those given help and [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome.

1 Samuel 17:4, Torah
[So remember when] a champion went out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height [was] six cubits and a span.

1 Samuel 17:10 - 11, Torah
And the Philistine said, "I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, so that we may fight together."
When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

2:249 - 250, Qur'an
[And so] when Saul separated the soldiers, he said, "Indeed, God will be testing you [and your fast] with a river.  So whoever drinks from it is not of me, and whoever does not taste it is indeed of me, excepting one who takes [from it] in the hollow of his hand."  But they drank from it, except a [very] few of them.  Then when he had crossed it along with those who believed with him, they said, "There is no power for us against Goliath and his soldiers today."  But those who were certain that they would meet God said, "How many small companies have overcome a large company by permission of God?  And God is with the patient."
And when they went forth to [face] Goliath and his soldiers, they said, "Our Lord, pour patience upon us and plant our feet firmly and help us against the disbelieving people."

1 Samuel 17:45 - 47, Torah
Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand; and I will strike you, and take your head from you; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day to the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.  And all this assembly will know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear, for the battle [is] the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands."

2:251 - 252, Qur'an
So they defeated them by permission of God, and David killed Goliath, and God gave him the kingdom and wisdom and taught him from that which He willed. And if it were not for God checking [some] people by means of others, the earth would have been corrupted, but God is full of bounty to the worlds.
These are the verses of God which We recite to you in truth.  And indeed, you [O Muhammad] are from among the messengers.

48:16, Qur'an
[So] say to those who remained behind of the bedouins, "You will be called to [face] a people of great military might; you may fight them, or they will submit.  So if you obey, God will give you a good reward; but if you turn away as you turned away before, He will punish you with a painful punishment."

8:64 - 65, Qur'an
[So] O prophet, God is sufficient for you and for whoever follows you among the believers.
O prophet, urge the believers to battle.  If there are twenty steadfast among you, they will overcome two hundred.  And if there are one hundred steadfast among you, they will overcome a thousand of those who have disbelieved because they are a people who do not understand -

Deuteronomy 32:28 - 31, Torah
For they [are] a nation void of counsel, neither [is there any] understanding in them.
O that they were wise, [that] they understood this, [that] they would consider their latter end!  How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their rock had sold them, and the Lord had shut them up?  For their rock [is] not as our Rock,

Deuteronomy 20:4, Torah
For the Lord your God [is] He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Leviticus 26:7 - 8, Torah
[Thus] you will chase your enemies, and they will fall before you by the sword.
And five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will put ten thousand to flight, and your enemies will fall before you by the sword -

3:160, Qur'an
[For] if God should aid you, no one can overcome you; but if He should forsake you, who is there that can aid you after Him?  And let the believers trust in God.

Joshua 23:9 - 10, Torah
For the Lord has driven out great and strong nations from before you, but [as for] you, no man has been able to stand before you to this day.
One man among you will chase a thousand, for the Lord your God, [it is] He who fights for you, as He has promised you.

2 Chronicles 20:15, Torah
Thus the Lord says to you, "Do not be afraid or dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle [is] not yours, but God's."

33:25, Qur'an
And [thus,] God repelled those who disbelieved in their rage, not having obtained any good. And God was sufficient for the believers in battle, and God is Powerful and Almighty.

This Worldly Life is Nothing but Diversion, but the Hereafter, that is the Life - so Strive [jāhidū] with your Wealth and Lives in the Way of God

So Let those Fight in the Way of God for the Oppressed, for God has Purchased their Lives and their Wealth in Exchange that they will have the Garden

29:64, Qur'an
[Know that] this worldly life is nothing but diversion and amusement.  And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the life, if only they knew.

28:60, Qur'an
[So] whatever thing you [people] have been given - it is [only for] the enjoyment of worldly life and its adornment.  And what is with God is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason?

9:38, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the way of God, you adhere heavily to the earth?  Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter?  But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a little?

4:74 - 75, Qur'an
So let those fight in the way of God who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. And he who fights in the way of God and is killed or overcomes - then We will soon give him a great reward.
And what is [the matter] with you that you do not fight in the way of God and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, "Our Lord, take us out of this city of wrongdoing people and appoint a protector for us from Yourself and appoint a helper for us from Yourself?"

9:41, Qur'an
[So] go forth, whether light or heavy, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the way of God. That is better for you, if you only knew -

42:20, Qur'an
[For] whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase his harvest for him. And whoever desires the harvest of this world - We give him thereof, but there is no share for him in the Hereafter -

2:86, Qur'an
[For] those are the ones who have bought the life of this world [in exchange] for the Hereafter, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be aided.

Matthew 16:26, Gospel
[And thus,] what is a man profited, if he will gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?  Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

16:95, Qur'an
[So] do not exchange the covenant of God for a small price.  Indeed, what is with God is best for you, if only you could know.

3:157, Qur'an
And if you are killed in the way of God or die - then forgiveness from God and mercy are better than whatever they accumulate [in this world].

3:156, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, do not be like those who disbelieved and said about their brothers when they set forth through the land or went out to fight, "If they had been with us, they would not have died or have been killed," so God makes that [misconception] a regret within their hearts. And it is God who gives life and causes death, and God is Seeing of what you do -

9:81, Qur'an
[Such as] those who remained behind [who] rejoiced in their staying [at home] after [the departure of] the messenger of God and disliked to strive with their wealth and their lives in the way of God and said, "Do not go forth in the heat." Say, "The fire of Hell is more intensive in heat" - if they would [only] understand -

Mark 8:35, Gospel
[For] whoever will save his [worldly] life will lose it [in Hell]; but whoever will lose his [worldly] life for my sake and the Gospel's, the same will save it [in the Hereafter].

9:111, Qur'an
[For] indeed, God has purchased their lives and their wealth from the believers [in exchange] for them [having] the Garden. They fight in the way of God, so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an.  And who is truer to his covenant than God?  So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great success.

[4 Maccabees 18:3], Torah
Therefore, those who gave over their bodies in suffering for the sake of religion were not only admired by men, but also were deemed worthy to share in a divine inheritance.

[4 Maccabees 16:25], Torah
[And] they also knew that those who die for the sake of God live in God, as do Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the patriarchs.

Do Not Take your Fathers or your Brothers as Allies if they Oppose God and His Messenger

For a Brother will Deliver up his Brother to Death, and the Father will Deliver his Child to Death

9:23, Qur'an
O you who have believed, do not take your fathers or your brothers as allies if they have preferred disbelief over belief.  And whoever turns to them from among you - then it is those who are the wrongdoers -

Luke 21:16, Gospel
"[For] you will be betrayed both by parents, and brothers, and kinsfolks, and friends; and they will cause [some] of you to be put to death."

Luke 14:26, Gospel
[And so Jesus continued,] "If any [man] comes to me, and does not hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."

*Micah 7:6, Torah
For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies [are] the men of his own house.

*Matthew 10:34 - 36, Gospel
"[So] do not think that I have come to send peace on earth, I did not come to send peace, but a sword.
For I have come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.  And [thus] a man's foes [will be] those of his own household -

Matthew 10:21, Gospel
[For] a brother will deliver up [his] brother to death, and the father [will deliver up his] child, and the children will rise up against [their] parents, and cause them to be put to death."

9:24, Qur'an
[So] say [O Muhammad], "If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your spouses, your relatives, wealth which you have obtained, commerce wherein you fear decline, and dwellings with which you are pleased are more beloved to you than God and His messenger and striving in His way, then wait until God brings His command.  And God does not guide the defiantly disobedient people."

58:22, Qur'an
[And thus,] you will not find a people who believe in God and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose God and His messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those - He has decreed faith within their hearts and supported them with [the Holy] Spirit from Him. And We will admit them to Gardens in which rivers flow beneath them, wherein they abide eternally. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him - those are the party of God. Unquestionably, the party of God - they are the successful.

Do Not Take the Jews and Christians as Allies, for God does Not Guide the Disbelieving People

But God only Forbids that you Make Allies of those who Fight you Because of Religion - as when Satan Entered into Judas and he Betrayed Jesus to the Chief Priests

2 Corinthians 6:14 - 15, Gospel
Do not be yoked differently with unbelievers, for what fellowship does righteousness have with unrighteousness?  And what communion does light have with darkness?
And what concord does the Messiah have with Belial?  Or what part does a believer have with a disbeliever?

[Sirach 13:17], Torah
[Or] what fellowship does the wolf have with the lamb?  So the sinner with the Godly.

60:1 - 2, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies, extending affection to them while they have disbelieved in what came to you of the truth, having driven out the prophet and yourselves because you believe in God, your Lord.  If you have come out to strive in My cause and seeking means to My approval, [do not take them as allies].  You confide affection to them, but I am most knowing of what you have concealed and what you have declared.  And whoever does it among you has certainly strayed from the even path.
If they gain dominance over you, they would be as enemies to you and extend their hands against you and their tongues with evil, and they wish you would disbelieve.

60:7 - 9, Qur'an
[But] perhaps God will put affection between you and those among them to whom you have been enemies. And God is Powerful, and God is Forgiving and Merciful.
[So] God does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from dealing kindly and justly with them.  Indeed, God loves those who act justly.  God only forbids you from those who fight you because of religion and expel you from your homes and aid in your expulsion - [forbids] that you turn to them [as allies]. And whoever turns to them, then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

5:51, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another.  And whoever turns to them from among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them.  Indeed, God does not guide the wrongdoing people -

Luke 22:2 - 3, Gospel
[For remember that] the chief priests and scribes [of the Jews] sought how they might kill [Jesus]; for they feared the people.
Then Satan entered into Judas surnamed Iscariot [and Satan guided him], being of the number of the twelve.

Luke 22:4 - 6, Gospel
And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him to them.
And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.  And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him to them in the absence of the multitude.

John 18:3, Gospel
Judas then, having received a band [of men] and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, comes there with lanterns and torches and weapons.

John 18:12, Gospel
Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him.

5:52, Qur'an
So you see those who have disease in their hearts hastening into [association with] them, saying, "We are afraid a misfortune may strike us."  But perhaps God will bring a conquest or a command from Him, and they will become regretful over what they have been concealing within themselves.

Matthew 27:3 - 4, Gospel
[So remember] then [that] Judas, who had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought the thirty pieces of silver again to the chief priests and elders,
saying, "I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood."  And they said, "What [is that] to us?  See [to that]."

Matthew 27:5, Gospel
[Then Judas] cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

58:14 - 16, Qur'an
[So] have you not seen those who turn to a people with whom God has become angry? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to lies while they know.
God has prepared a severe punishment for them. Indeed, what they were doing was evil. They took their [false] oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of God, and there is a humiliating punishment for them.

If you Punish, Punish with an Equivalent of that with which you were Punished - an Eye for an Eye, a Tooth for a Tooth, and a Life for a Life

But whoever Pardons and Makes Reconciliation - his Reward is Due from God; and if you are Patient, it is Better for those who are Patient

Matthew 5:38, Gospel
You have heard that it has been said, "An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth [as legal retribution] -

Leviticus 24:19 - 20, Torah
[Whereby] if a man causes a blemish in his neighbor; as he has done, so will it be done to him;
breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, as he has caused a blemish in a man, so will it be done to him [again].

Exodus 21:25, Torah
[And] a burning for a burning, a wound for a wound, a stripe for a stripe [as legal retribution].

16:126 - 127, Qur'an
And [thus,] if you punish, punish with an equivalent of that with which you were punished. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient.
And be patient, and your patience is not [possible] except through God. And do not grieve over them and do not be in distress over what they conspire.

Deuteronomy 19:16, Torah
[But] if a false witness rises up against any man to testify against him [that which is] wrong -

Deuteronomy 19:19 - 21, Torah
Then you will do to him, as he had thought to have done to his brother, so you will put the evil away from among you.
And those who remain will hear, and fear, and will no longer from now on commit any such evil among you. And your eye will not pity; [but] life [will go] for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot [as legal retribution]."

5:45, Qur'an
And [thus,] We ordained for them therein a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, and legal retribution for wounds. But whoever gives [up his right as] charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not judge by what God has sent down - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.

5:32, Qur'an
[And] We wrote upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had killed mankind entirely. And whoever [saves] a life - it is as if he had [saved] the lives of mankind entirely. And Our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed, many of them were transgressors throughout the land [even] after that.

17:33, Qur'an
[So] do not kill the soul which God has forbidden, except by truth.  And whoever is killed unjustly - We have given his heir authority, but do not let him exceed limits in taking life.  Indeed, he is helped [by God].

2:178 - 179, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, legal retribution is prescribed for you for those killed - the free for the free, the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But whoever is pardoned anything from his brother, then there should be a suitable follow-up and payment to him with good conduct. This is an alleviation from your Lord and a mercy. But whoever transgresses after that will have a painful punishment.
And there is [the restoring or saving of] life [or taking of the killer's life] for you in legal retribution, O you [people] of understanding, so that you may fear [God] -

Leviticus 24:21, Torah
[Whereby,] he who kills a beast, he will restore it. [Or,] he who kills a man, he [himself] will be put to death.

42:40, Qur'an
[For] the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from God. Indeed, He does not love the wrongdoers.

42:41 - 43, Qur'an
And whoever defends himself after having been wronged - those do not have any way [of blame] against them.
The way [of blame] is only against the ones who wrong the people and rebel upon the earth without truth. Those will have a painful punishment. And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is among the matters [requiring] determination.

There is to Be No Aggression Except Against the Wrongdoers and those who Fight you

So if they Remove themselves from you and do Not Fight you and Offer you Peace, then God has Not Made a Cause for you for Fighting Against them

22:39, Qur'an
Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged.  And indeed, God is Powerful to give them help.

42:39, Qur'an
And [thus there is no cause for blame for] those who, when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves -

2:190, Qur'an
[But only] fight in the way of God those who fight you [and] do not transgress.  Indeed, God does not love the transgressors.

2:192 - 193, Qur’an
[So] if they cease, then indeed, God is Forgiving and Merciful.
[So] fight them until there is no [more] oppression and [until] the religion is [acknowledged to be] for God. But if they cease, then there is to be no aggression except against the wrongdoers.

4:90, Qur'an
[So fight] except for those [disbelievers] who take refuge with a people between yourselves and with whom is a treaty or those who come to you, their hearts strained at [the prospect of] fighting you or fighting their own people.  And if God had willed, He could have given them power over you, and they would have surely fought you.  So if they remove themselves from you and do not fight you and offer you peace, then God has not made a cause for you [for fighting] against them.

4:91, Qur’an
[But] you will find others who wish to obtain security from you and [to] obtain security from their people. Every time they are returned to the temptation [of disbelief], they fall back into it.  So if they do not withdraw from you or offer you peace or restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you overtake them. And those - We have made a clear authorization for you against them.

4:94, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, when you set forth [to fight] in the way of God, investigate; and do not say to one who offers you peace, "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life; for many spoils of war are with God.  You were like that before; then God conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed God is Aware of what you do.

When you Come to a City to Fight Against it, Proclaim Peace to it, if they Incline to Peace, then Incline to it Also and Trust in God

But if they Break their Oaths After their Treaty, then Fight the Leaders of Disbelief so that they might Cease

2:224, Qur'an
Do not make God an excuse in your oaths against being righteous and fearing [God] and making peace among people.  And God is Hearing and Knowing.

Deuteronomy 20:10, Torah
[And so] when you come near a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace to it.

8:61, Qur'an
And if [the disbelievers] incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and trust in God.  Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing.

Deuteronomy 20:12, Torah
[But] if it will make no peace with you, but will make war against you, then you will besiege it -

Deuteronomy 20:18, Torah
[So] that they do not teach you to do after all their abominations, which they have done to their gods; so you should sin against the Lord your God.

9:4, Qur'an
[But] excepted are those with whom you made a treaty among the polytheists and then they have not been deficient toward you in anything or supported anyone against you; so complete their treaty for them until their term.  Indeed, God loves those who fear [Him].

9:6, Qur'an
And if any among the polytheists seek your protection, then grant him protection so that he may hear the words of God. Then deliver him to his place of safety. That is because they are a people who do not know.

8:71, Qur'an
But if they intend to betray you - then they have already betrayed God before, and He empowered [you] over them.  And God is Knowing and Wise.

9:12, Qur'an
[So] if they break their oaths after their treaty and defame your religion, then fight the leaders of disbelief, for indeed, there are no oaths [sacred] to them; [fight them so that] they might cease.

9:8, Qur'an
[For] how [can there be a treaty] while, if they gain dominance over you, they do not observe any pact of kinship or covenant of protection concerning you?  They satisfy you with their mouths, but their hearts refuse [compliance], and most of them are defiantly disobedient
-

8:56, Qur'an
The ones with whom you made a treaty but then they break their promise every time, and they do not fear [God].

9:10 - 11, Qur'an
They do not observe any pact of kinship or covenant of protection toward a believer.  And it is they who are the transgressors.
But if they repent, establish prayer, and give purifying [alms], then they are your brothers in religion; and We detail the verses for a people who know.

Do Not Kill yourselves, and whoever does that in Aggression and Injustice then We will Burn him in Hellfire

But if you Avoid the Major Sins which are Forbidden, We will Marry you to Women Untouched by Man Before you

6:82, Qur'an
Those who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided.

4:26 - 27, Qur'an
[Thus] God wants to make [the lawful from the unlawful] clear to you and guide you to the [good] ways of those before you and to accept your repentance. And God is Knowing and Wise.
God wants to accept your repentance, but those who follow [their] desires want you to digress [into] a great deviation.

4:29 - 31, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, do not consume one another's wealth by false [means] but only [in lawful] business by mutual consent.  And do not kill yourselves.  Indeed, God is Merciful to you.
And whoever does that in aggression and injustice - then We will soon burn him in a Fire.  And that is easy for God.  [But] if you avoid the greater [sins] which you are forbidden, We will remove your evil deeds from you and admit you to a noble entrance -

85:11, Qur'an
[For] indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have Gardens in which rivers flow beneath them.  That is the great success.

52:20, Qur'an
They will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes -

55:74, Qur'an
Untouched by man or jinni before them -

56:35 - 38, Qur'an
Indeed, We have produced the women [of Paradise] in a [new] creation
and made them virgins, devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, for the companions of the right -

42:37 - 39, Qur'an
Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive.
And those who have responded to their Lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and they spend from what We have provided them.  And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves.

2:195, Qur'an
[So] spend in the way of God and do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction.  And do good; indeed, God loves the doers of good.

Those will have Lost who Killed their Children, Inventing Lies About God, they have Gone Astray and were Not Rightly Guided

For they Sacrificed their Sons and Daughters to Devils and their Idols, which I did Not Command them

17:31, Qur'an
Do not kill your children for fear of poverty.  We provide for them and for you.  Indeed, their killing is a great sin.

16:58 - 59, Qur'an
And [likewise,] when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief.
He hides himself from the people because of the evil of what he has been given good news about. Should he keep it in humiliation or bury it in the ground? Unquestionably, what they decide is [indeed] evil.

6:137, Qur'an
And likewise, to many of the polytheists, their partners have made the killing of their children [seem] pleasing in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if God had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent.

Psalms 106:35 - 38, Torah
[For they] were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
And they served their idols, which were a snare to them. They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to devils, and shed innocent blood, [even] the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood.

Jeremiah 7:31, Torah
And they have built the high places of Tophet, which [is] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I did not command [them], neither did it come into My heart.

Jeremiah 19:5, Torah
[And] they have also built the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire [for] burnt offerings to Baal, which I did not command, nor spoke [it], neither did [it] come into My mind.

Psalms 106:39, Torah
[Rather,] they were defiled with their own works, and went whoring with their own inventions.

6:140, Qur'an
[But] those will have lost - [those] who killed their children in foolishness without knowledge and prohibited what God had provided for them, inventing [lies] about God.  They have gone astray and were not [rightly] guided.

Deuteronomy 12:31 - 32, Torah
[Thus,] you will not do so to the Lord your God, for every abomination to the Lord, which He hates, they have done to their gods; for they have even burnt their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.
Whatever thing I command you, observe to do it, you will not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

6:151, Qur'an
[So] say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you.  [He commands] that you do not associate anything with Him, and good [treatment] to parents, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them.  And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed.  And do not kill the soul, which God has forbidden, except by truth.  He has instructed you this so that you may use reason."

There Should be No Compulsion in Acceptance of the Religion, for you are Not a Controller or a Tyrant Over them

So whoever Wills, Let him Believe; and whoever Wills, Let him Disbelieve, for those are the Ones who will Lose their Souls on the Day of Resurrection

29:18, Qur'an
If you [people] deny [the message] - nations have already denied before you. And there is no [duty] upon the messenger except clear notification -

11:28, Qur'an
[For remember Noah, when] he said, "O my people have you considered: if I should be upon clear evidence from my Lord while He has given me mercy from Himself but it has been made unapparent to you, should we force it upon you while you are averse to it?"

6:35, Qur'an
[But] if their aversion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the heaven to bring them a sign, [then do so].  But if God had willed, He would have united them upon guidance.  So never be among the ignorant -

10:99, Qur'an
[For] had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely.  Then, would you compel the people in order that they become believers?

16:82, Qur'an
[So] if they turn away, then there is only [the responsibility for] clear notification upon you -

6:69, Qur'an
[For] those who fear [God] are not held accountable for the disbelievers at all, but [only for] a reminder - so that perhaps they will fear [Him].

2:256, Qur'an
[And thus there should be] no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in false gods and believes in God has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And God is Hearing and Knowing.

51:54, Qur'an
So turn away from them, for you are not to be blamed.

50:45, Qur'an
[For] We are most knowing of what they say, and you are not a tyrant over them. But remind by the Qur'an whoever fears My threat -

18:29, Qur'an
[So] say, "The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills, let him disbelieve."  Indeed, We have prepared a Fire for the wrongdoers whose walls will surround them.  And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces.  It is wretched as a drink, and it is evil as a resting place.

Matthew 10:14 - 15, Gospel
"And [thus,] whoever will not receive you, nor hear your words, when you depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
Verily I say to you, 'It will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Day of Judgement, than for that city -'"

88:23 - 24, Qur'an
[For] he who turns away and disbelieves -
then God will punish him with the greatest punishment.

88:21 - 22, Qur'an
So remind, you are only a reminder.
You are not a controller over them.

109:1 - 6, Qur'an
[So] say, "O disbelievers,
I do not serve what you serve.  Nor are you servants of what I serve.  Nor will I be a servant of what you serve.  Nor will you be servants of what I serve. Your religion is for you, and my religion is for me -

39:14 - 15, Qur'an
[Whereby] I serve God [alone], sincere to Him in my religion
, so serve what you will besides Him." Say, "Indeed, the losers are the ones who will lose their souls and their families on the Day of Resurrection. Unquestionably, that is the clear loss."

Whoever God Sends Astray, the Devils Increase them in Error, and so they Say, "God has Ordered us to do Immorality," but God does Not Order Immorality

But None will Remember Except those of Understanding, Whereby God Gives Wisdom to whomever He Wills, and Increases them in Guidance

14:27, Qur'an
God keeps those who believe firm with the firm Word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter.  And God sends the wrongdoers astray.  And God does what He wills.

7:186, Qur'an
[And] whoever God sends astray - there is no guide for him.  And He leaves them in their transgression, wandering blindly -

7:28, Qur'an
[And so] when they commit an immorality, they say, "We found our fathers doing it, and God has ordered us to do it."  Say, "Indeed, God does not order immorality.  Do you say something about God which you do not know?"

Malachi 2:17, Torah
[For] you have wearied the Lord with your words.  Yet you say, "Wherein have we wearied [Him]?"  When you say, "Everyone who does evil [is] good in the sight of the Lord, and He delights in them."

35:8, Qur'an
[But] is one whom the evil of his deed has been made attractive so he considers it good [like one rightly guided]?  For indeed, God sends astray whomever He wills and guides whomever He wills.  So do not let yourself perish over them in regret.  Indeed, God is Knowing of what they do -

Isaiah 5:20, Torah
[So] woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

40:58, Qur'an
[For] the blind and the seeing are not equal, nor are those who believe and do righteous deeds and the evildoer.  [But] you remember little.

Isaiah 44:18, Torah
[But] they have not known or understood, for He has shut their eyes, so that they cannot see; [and] their hearts, so that they cannot understand.

30:59, Qur'an
[And] thus, God seals the hearts of those who do not know.

47:17, Qur'an
[But] those who are guided - He increases them in guidance and gives them their fear [of God].

Matthew 13:12, Gospel
"[And thus] whoever has, [more] will be given to him, and he will have more in abundance.  But whoever does not have, even that which he has will be taken away from him" -

7:202, Qur'an
[For] their brothers, they increase them in error; then they do not stop short.

7:30, Qur'an
[And thus] He guided a group [of you], and a group deserved [to be in] error.  Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of God while they thought that they were guided.

Do Not Take your Oaths as Deceit, and Stand Firm in Justice, Even if it is Against yourselves or Parents and Relatives

But When Our Verses are Recited to them, they Say, "This is Nothing Except a Lie [Taqiyya]"

4:135, Qur'an
O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for God, even if it is against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, God is nearer to both. So do not follow desires, so that you are just. And if you distort [your testimony] or turn away, then indeed God is Acquainted with what you do.

Exodus 20:16, Torah
[So do] not bear false witness against your neighbor,

16:94, Qur'an
Nor take your oaths as [a means of] deceit between you, unless a foot should slip after it was [once] firm, and you would taste evil for what [people] you diverted from the way of God, and you would have a great punishment.

34:43, Qur'an
[But] when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, they say, "This is nothing but a man who wishes to avert you from that which your fathers were worshiping." And they say, "This is nothing except an invented lie." And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it has come to them, "This is nothing but clear magic."

John 7:12, Gospel
[Just as] there was much murmuring among the people concerning [Jesus], for some said, "He is a good man." Others said, "No; but he deceives the people."

11:27, Qur'an
[Likewise,] the eminent among those who disbelieved from [Noah's] people said, "We do not see you [as anything] except as a man like ourselves, and we do not see you followed by [anyone] except those who are the lowest of us [and] immature in opinion. And we do not see any merit in you over us; rather, we think you are liars."

7:66, Qur'an
[And] the eminent ones who disbelieved among [Hud's] people said, "Indeed, we see you in foolishness, and indeed, we think you are among the liars."

26:186, Qur'an
[And they said to Shu'ayb], "You are nothing but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars."

54:25, Qur'an
[And Thamud said of Salih], "Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."

40:23 - 24, Qur'an
And We certainly sent Moses with Our signs and a clear authority
to Pharaoh, Haman and Korah; but they said, "[He is] a magician and a liar."

25:4, Qur'an
And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is nothing except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.

5:8, Qur'an
[So] O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for God, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to fearing [God]. And fear God; indeed, God is Aware of what you do.

As for those who have Deviation in their Hearts, they will Seek Discord and an Interpretation Suitable to them in Order to Make the Way of God Seem Deviant

For they Dispute About the Verses of God without Knowledge and they Pass on what is Heard

3:7, Qur'an
It is He who has sent the Book down to you, in it are verses that are decisive - they are the foundation of the Book - and others are similar [in meaning]. As for those who have deviation in their hearts, they will follow that which is similar to it [in meaning, but out of context], seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its interpretation except God. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding -

Proverbs 15:28, Torah
[For] the heart of the righteous studies to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.

22:3, Qur'an
[For] among the people is he who disputes about God without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil.

26:223, Qur'an
They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.

45:7 - 9, Qur'an
[So] woe to every sinful liar,
who hears the verses of God recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them.  So give him good news of a painful punishment. And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule.  Those will have a humiliating punishment.

22:8 - 9, Qur'an
[And] among the people is he who disputes about God without knowledge or guidance or an enlightening book [from Him],
twisting his neck to mislead from the way of God. There is disgrace for him in the world, and We will make him taste the punishment of the Burning Fire on the Day of Resurrection -

11:18, Qur'an
[For] who is more wrong than he who invents a lie about God?  Those will be presented before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord."  Unquestionably, the curse of God is upon the wrongdoers -

14:3, Qur'an
The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of God, seeking to make it [seem] deviant.  Those are in extreme error.

Jeremiah 9:3 - 6, Torah
"[For] they bend their tongues [like] their bow [for] lies, but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know Me," the Lord says.
"Take heed, everyone of his neighbor, and do not trust in any brother, for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will walk with slanders.  And everyone will deceive his neighbor, and will not speak the truth, they have taught their tongue to speak lies, [and] weary themselves to commit iniquity.  [Thus] your habitation [is] in the midst of deceit; [and] through deceit they refuse to know Me," the Lord says.

Isaiah 59:13, Torah
[So] in transgressing and lying against the Lord, and departing away from our God, [they speak] oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering words of falsehood from the heart -

[Book of Enoch 104:10], Torah
[For] many sinners will alter and distort the words of truth, and speak evil words, and lie, and concoct great fabrications, and write books in their own words -

2 Peter 2:12, Gospel
[For] these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they do not understand; [but] will utterly perish in their own corruption.

2 Peter 3:16, Gospel
As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them about these things; in which some things are hard to be understood, which, those who are unlearned and unstable twist, as [they also do] toward the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

27:83 - 85, Qur'an
[So warn of] the Day when We will gather a company from every nation of those who deny Our verses, and they will be [driven] in rows
until, when they arrive [at the place of Judgement], He will say, "Did you deny My verses while you did not encompass them in knowledge, or what [was it that] you were doing?"  And the word will be fulfilled against them for the wrong they did, and they will not speak.

17:36, Qur'an
[So] do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge.  Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - [one] will be questioned about all those.

Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit will Not be Forgiven, for the Trustworthy Spirit has Brought the Qur'an

And they Dispute by Falsehood to Invalidate the Truth which the Holy Spirit has Brought from your Lord in Truth

40:15, Qur'an
[God is] Raised High above [all] degrees, Owner of the Throne; He places the [Holy] Spirit from His command upon whomever He wills of His servants to warn of the Day of Meeting.

2:87, Qur'an
And [thus] We certainly gave Moses the Book and followed up with messengers after him. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Holy Spirit.

Mark 3:30, Gospel
[But] they said, "[Jesus] has an unclean spirit."

2:87, Qur'an
[So] is it [not] that every time a messenger came to you, with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant?  And you denied a group and you killed another group.

Acts 7:51, Gospel
[O] you stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit, as your fathers [did], so [do] you.

35:25, Qur'an
[So] if they deny you [O Muhammad] - then those before them have already denied.  Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.

26:192 - 197, Qur'an
[And] indeed, [the Qur'an] is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.
The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - so that you may be among the warners in a clear Arabic language.  And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the Scriptures of former [peoples].  And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?

John 14:16 - 17, Gospel
[For Jesus said,] "And I will ask [God] the [Creator], and He will give you another Comforter, so that he may abide with you forever;
[even] the Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see him, neither knows him, but you know him; for he dwells with you, and will be in you."

42:52, Qur'an
And thus We have revealed a Spirit [of Truth] to you [O Muhammad] by Our command. You did not know what the Scripture is or [what] faith [is], but We have made it a light by which We guide whomever We will of Our servants.  And indeed, you guide to a straight path.

13:43, Qur'an
[But] those who have disbelieved say, "You are not a messenger."  Say, "God is sufficient as Witness between me and you, and whoever has knowledge of the Scripture."

3:98 - 99, Qur'an
[So] say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of God while God is Witness over what you do?"
[And] say, "O People of the Scripture, why do you avert those who believe from the way of God, seeking to make it [seem] deviant, while you are witnesses [to the truth]?  And God is not unaware of what you do" -

25:4, Qur'an
[For] those who disbelieve say, "This is nothing except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it."  But they have committed an injustice and a lie.

16:102 - 105, Qur'an
Say, "The Holy Spirit has brought it down from your Lord in truth to make those who believe firm and as guidance and good news to those in submission [to God]."
And We certainly know that they say, "It is only a human being who teaches the prophet."  The tongue of the one they refer to is foreign, and this Qur'an is [in] a clear Arabic language.  [But] indeed, those who do not believe in the verses of God - God will not guide them, and there is a painful punishment for them.  Those who do not believe in the verses of God only invent falsehood, and it is those who are the liars.

Matthew 12:31, Gospel
Therefore [Jesus said] to you, "All manner of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven to men, but the blasphemy [against] the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven to men."

Zechariah 7:12, Torah
[For] they made their hearts [as] an adamant stone, unless they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts has sent in His [Holy] Spirit by the former prophets, therefore a great wrath came from the Lord of hosts.

18:56, Qur'an
[For] We do not send the messengers except as bringers of good news and warners.  And those who disbelieve dispute by [using] falsehood to [attempt to] invalidate the truth thereby and have taken My verses, and that of which they are warned, in ridicule.

47:34, Qur'an
[So] indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of God and then died while they were disbelievers - God will never forgive them.

When they Say "Peace and Safety," then Sudden Destruction Comes upon them

For Hear the Word of the Lord, "Your Brethren who Hated you, who Cast you Out for My Name's Sake, will Perish in the Day of Vengeance"

8:49, Qur'an
[Remember] when the hypocrites and those who had disease in their hearts said, "Their religion has deluded them?"

3:118, Qur'an
Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, and what their hearts conceal is greater.  We have certainly made the signs clear to you, if you will use reason.

47:29 - 30, Qur'an
Or do those who have disease in their hearts think that God would never expose their feelings of hatred?
And if We willed, We could show them to you, and you would know them by their mark; but you will surely know them by the tone of their speech -

22:72, Qur'an
[For] when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, you recognize disapproval in the faces of those who disbelieve.  They are almost on the verge of assaulting those who recite Our verses to them.

2 Peter 2:2, Gospel
[For] many will follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth will be evil spoken of.

[2 Ezra 5:1 - 2], Torah
[For] behold, the days will come, that those who dwell upon earth will be taken in a great number, and the way of truth will be hidden, and the land will be barren of faith.
But iniquity will be increased above that which you now see, or that you have heard long ago.

Matthew 24:12, Gospel
And because iniquity will abound, the love of many will wax cold.

Matthew 24:10, Gospel
And then many will be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another.

Matthew 24:9, Gospel
Then they will deliver you up to be afflicted, and will kill you, and you will be hated of all nations for [God's] name's sake.

1 Timothy 4:10, Gospel
Therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all mankind, especially of those who believe.

[2 Ezra 16:70 - 72], Torah
[And thus] there will be in every place, and in the next cities, a great insurrection upon those who fear God.
They will be like mad men, sparing none, but still spoiling and destroying those who fear God.  For they will waste and take away their goods, and cast them out of their houses.

17:76, Qur'an
[So] indeed, they were about to drive you from the land to evict you therefrom. And then when they do, they will not remain there after you, except for a little.

Isaiah 66:5, Torah
[So] hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at His word; "Your brethren who hated you, who cast you out for My name's sake, said, 'Let the Lord be glorified,' but He will appear to your joy, and they will be ashamed."

21:38 - 40, Qur'an
[So] they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
If those who disbelieved knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided...  Rather, it will come to them suddenly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved.

1 Thessalonians 5:2 - 3, Gospel
For you yourselves know perfectly that the Day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
For when they will say, 'Peace and safety;' then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they will not escape.

[Sirach 5:7], Torah
[So] make no delay to turn to the Lord, and do not put off from day to day; for suddenly the wrath of the Lord will come forth, and you will be destroyed in your security, and perish in the Day of Vengeance.
